Summary:A group of men are depicted pasting posters [bills] on a wall. One of the posters refers to the repeal meeting of Mullaghmast. A soldier on a ladder is pasting a proclamation banning meetings at Clontarf, Co. Dublin. He complains "Damn those rough Irish Bricks I can't stick them Bob". Bob [Sir Robert Peel], is at the foot of the ladder wearing an orange coat. He says "Come my little Corporal try the other end if Paste won't do Try Steel". They are aided by two men who hold a lantern and a torch. Daniel O'Connell, wearing a coat of green coloured material, observes them with another man standing beside him, Thomas [known as Tom] Steele, (1788-1848). O'Connell says "Moral Force Tom won before - seven millions to one it wins now Those Dark Deeds Shall Come to Light". Tom Steele remarks to O'Connell "Say but the word father of my Country".
