| Summary: | A selection of poems, essays, anecdotes, pictures etc. by Irish school children in 5th Class in primary schools and in Transition Year in secondary schools compiled to celebrate the Millenium. These papers represent the thoughts and aspirations of a large cross-section of children approaching the end of the millennium. Most of the contributions are held in county and municipal libraries but a selection taken at random has been included in the Millennium Book for permanent preservation in the National Library. The Millennium Book was organised by a sub-committee of the Millennium Committee chaired by Deirdre Purcell.
