"The whole of the plates in this work have been engraved by Hallett Hyatt, of 111, Oxford street, London. All the photographs have been taken by him, and the whole of the hand-coloured facsimiles in the edition de luxe and in the royal edition were executed under his supervision and by his artists." Bound in vellum, with silver corners, clasps, and medallions. On the corners and medallions of v. 1 and 2 are found the monogram signatures of the leading artists whose works are alluded to in the volume.
