Notes:Note inscribed in pencil on verso: There is a tradition that Roger Mortimer 4th Earl of March, lived at Fahatty Castle on the banks of Lough Derravaragh, Co. Westmeath, about AD. 1370. This Roger was Great Grandson of Edward III. He was also lineally descended on both father's and mother's sides from Hugh de Lacy, 1st Lord of Meath. He was appointed Lord Lieutenant of Ireland Jan 24th 1381. In 1385 he was declared by Act of Parliament heir to the Crown of England in case Richard II died without Issue. Slain at Kills, Killkenny, 1398.
