The image depicts two sportsmen attacking each other - both wield hurling sticks, with the words "Home Rule" and "Separation" respectively written on them. One of the sportsmen shouts "We'll pulverise the Priests!". Ball at their feet has "Parnellism" written on it while in the background people seemingly take fright.
