When Gael meets Gael; or, Home Rule Rehearsed.
Reference to the annual convention of G.A.A. at Thurles which on 9 November, 1887, ended in a split between "fenians" and "priests". The iamge depicts two sportsmen attacking each other - both wield hurling sticks with the words "Home Rule" and "Separation" respectively written on them. One of the sportsmen shouts "We'll pulverise the Priests!". Ball at their feet has "Parnellism" written on it. In the background frightened people run away.
