| Notes: | Title inscribed in ink l.l. on sheet. C.W. Cole was sent to Limerick to cover the Land League Demonstration there which was to coincide with Charles Stewart Parnell being offered the Freedom of the city. Parnell arrived in Limerick on 1st November 1880 and attended the demonstration and the following day received the Freedom of the city. Part of a series of engravings published under the title "The Agitation in Ireland - Incidents of the Parnell reception at Limerick", The Graphic, Saturday November 13, 1880. This image was published, in slightly altered form, as a wood engraving on page 465. According to the article accompanying the engraving, on page 466 of The Graphic, "On the way back there was more demonstration and shouting, and as the procession passed the statue of O'Connell a posse of mounted demonstrators grouped themselves around the memorial and yelled hideously in hounour of the great Agitator of the past."
