Leaflet (featuring an image of Liam Mellows on the cover) provides an overview of his life - from the time he joined Fianna Éireann as a scout to his command of a force of over six hundred men in East Galway in 1916 to time spent in America leading up to his involvement in the Civil War [where he was based in the Four Courts], his subsequent detention in Moutjoy Prison and his execution with Roary O'Connor, Joe McKelvey and Dick Barrett were executed by firing squad on 8 December 1922, in reprisal for the killing of Seán Hales T.D. (who was shot on 6 December 1922 by anti-Treaty I.R.A. men as he left the Dáil along with Pádraic Ó Máille T.D., who was badly wounded in the incident).
