Republican Dependents Fund
Will you allow the wives and children of dead and imprisoned Republicans to starve because the Free State Censor Pierce Beasly has suppressed the appeal sent to the daily papers.
A mother sits with a child on her lap and two other children beside her. They look fearfully up at the head of Piaras Béaslaí, (1881-1965), who was the chief of the press censorship department during the civil war. Béaslaí's head is on the edge of a open scissors with the initials P.B. above.
