Summary:Drawing on left shows the effigy of Thomas de Tuite of 1363, at Kentsown, County Meath. The monument shows a man dressed in medieval costume, his hands clasped in prayer, head resting on pillow or cushion, dog lying at his feet. Drawing on right shows the fourteenth century high-relief carving of a knight in chain mail reaching for his sword. This effigy is of the Knight of Duiske in Duiske Abbey, Graignemanagh, County Kilkenny, Ireland.
