Scene showing the Irish Brigade celebrating their defeat of the British forces under the duke of Cumberland at the battle of Fontenoy (30th April - 11th May 1745), during the War of the Austrian Succession (1740-1748). This print commemorates one of the noted exploit of the "Wild Geese".
