For additional explanatory notes see Library of Congress Catalog of printed cards. 1942, v. 5. The last part, v. 3-6, A.D. 1172-1616, was printed in 3 vols. in 1848, as the editor originally intended to publish only that portion not included by C. O'Conor in Rerum hibernicarum scriptores, t.III, 1826. In 1851, v. 1-2 (to 1171) were issued with a revised introduction, and new title pages to the other volumes. (cf.
