Summary:	Ross, strictly speaking, is a peninsula, but is generallly termed an island, and is the largest in the Lakes of Killarney, County Kerry, Ireland. The castle to the left of the drawing is Ross Castle, which was originally built by the O'Donoghue family and stands on a rock by the edge of the water.
