Notes: | The Gaelic journal : exclusively devoted to the preservation and cultivation of the Irish language, founded, conducted and published by the Gaelic Union. Each volume (vols. 1-4) has 12 issues numbered consecutively (i.e. vol. 1, no. 1-12; vol. 2, no. 13-24). With vol. 5, no. 1 (Mar. 1894) a new numbering sequence (e.g. vol. 5, no. 1-12, vol. 6, no. 1-12) begins which is noted in addition to the old consecutive numbering system.
