Summary:Handbill issued during the War of Independence which is a declaration of support by the women of Ireland for the I.R.A.; with reference to the proclamation of martial law, December 12, 1920 which stated it was a crime resulting in the death penalty to carry arms or to harbour those who do so - the handbill states "The women of Ireland consider it a crime for any young Irishman of military age not to carry arms in defence of his country, and that it is an even greater crime for any person of Irish blood to refuse to harbour and assist our brave soldiers.
