Handbill encouraging women to "Get elected on Committees to the Convention: see that every activity in the land is carried on with your co-operation and due regard to the interests of Irishwomen; only thus can a sane and stable State be established in our land". Text on handbill begins "The call comes to you to be up and doing. In Easter Week the men who suffered and died gave you your freedom, lost since the ancient Brehon times, when women were recognised politically and had thei own rights and liberities. You know that the Saxon, amongst many other things, deprived you of all semblance of right or responsibily in the State. By the Republican Proclamation you have been granted equal rights, equal liberties, and equal responsibilites with men. See that you avail yourselves of these rights". The All Ireland Conference was convened on 19 April 1917. See NLI MS 21,194 (47) for the minute book of the women delegates to the All Ireland Conference.
