Notice reads: "Rally once more to the Colours. Remember the brave lads of the Royal Dublin Fusiliers and the many other Irish Regiments who gallantly fought for the Empire and helped to raise the flag in Africa, Egypt, and many of the battlefields of Europe. Read the names of many of your countrymen inscribed upon the arch to the Royal Dublin Fusiliers, St Stephen's Green. Irishmen the Empire is in danger, she needs your help. Join the nearest recruiting station". At the top of the notice is the coat of arms of the British Royal family; at foot of notice: "God Save the King"
