Summary:	Title printed l.c. within plate mark. View of the Tholsel, Dublin, Ireland, which was taken down around 1806 because it had become unsafe. According to Maurice Craig, in his book "James Malton's Views of Dublin", it was built, as the then equivalent of the City Hall, in 1676, to a pattern familiar from the middle ages onwards in many English towwns: an open arcade, surmounted by accommodation such as council-room, court-room and rudimentary offices. It stood to the South of Christ Church Cathedral, in Skinner's Row, later widened as Christ Church Place.
