Charles Byrne, (1761-1783), giant; whole length, full face, directed and looking to front, wearing bicorne hat, knee-length coat, short waistcoat, shirt with frill, breeches, stockings, shoes with buckles, standing in a row with two other giants similarly dressed but with a gown over their coat, the spectators are Lord Monboddo, William Richardson, John Bell, Baillie Kyd, a lady and a dwarf; rectangular frame.
