A similar pencil drawing of Charles Stewart Parnell, by the artist, is in the National Gallery of Ireland. Dated 1891, it is inscribed with the text: After finishing the above sketch Mr Parnell remarked to Mr Leamy, MP: "that Reigh is the only one who can do justice to my handsome face". The only difference between the two drawings is that the drawing in the National Gallery bears three heads of Parnell, as opposed to the two heads depicted in the National Library's copy.
