Marguerite or Margaret Gardiner, Countess of Blessingon, (1789-1849), née Powers, 2nd wife of Charles Gardiner, 1st Earl of Blessington, previously married to Captain Maurice St Leger Farmer (d.1817), writer and socialite, author of 'Conversations with Lord Byron'; nearly whole-length, full face, looking to right, seated, resting head on right hand and right elbow on arm of chair, frilled headdress, low gown with puffed sleeves and rose in bosom; octagonal frame.
