Elizabeth [Gunning], Duchess of Argyll, (1734-1790), wife of John Campbell, 5th Duke of Argyll, previously married to James, 6th Duke of Hamilton, daughter of John Gunning of co.Roscommon, celebrated beauty; half length, nearly to front, face slightly turned to right, pearls in hair, pearl earring, dress with lace edging, flowers in bosom; oval frame cut in rectangle.
