Summary: | View of the only medieval castle surviving in the town of Dalkey, County Dublin, Ireland, other than the present "Town Hall" (see 1958 TX 27 for details on illustration). This one bore the name of "Black Castle". In front of the castle stand three men, two of them are pointing towards the castle. Two more men can be seen in the distance. This view of the "Black Castle" was engraved in the "Gentleman's Magazine" of 1st May 1770. |
