Attributed to Francis Wheatley R.A. (1747-1801). The ascription to Wheatley is confirmed in Francis Grose's Antiquities of Ireland, Vol. I, p. 33, where the engraved version is stated to have been "taken from an orignal drawing by Wheatly in the Collection of the Right Honourable William Conyngham."
