Interior view of the Cathedral on St. Patrick's Rock, Cashel, County Tipperary, seen from the west. The vista looks through the arches of the crossing tower towards the incomplete east gable and the choir open to the sky, showing a small part of the north transept. Groups of figures in contemporary costume wander through the cathedral.

Physical description: 1 drawing (on impressed paper) : pen & wash ; image 32.7 x 22.7 cm., within plate mark 35 x 25 cm., on sheet 43.8 x 30 cm.
Attributed to John James Barralet, (ca. 1747-1815). The name Malton appears l.r. on the picture. It is not known what Malton had to do with this picture. However Thomas Malton, (1726-1801), came to Ireland in 1785.
