Attributed to James George O'Brien (or Oben or Brien) (fl. 1779-1819). This is confirmed by Francis Grose's "Antiquities of Ireland, Vol. I, page 37, where the engraving (published by S. Hooper of Holborn in December 1792) is said to have been taken "from an original drawing by Brien, in the collection of the Right Honourable William Conyngham".
