Credits:Thought to be attributed to J.G. Oben or O'Brien (fl. 1779-1819) on the basis that the good architectural drawings of Kilkenny in this collection are either stated to be by "Brien" (see 2122 TX (4) 43 & 45) or see statements made in Francis Grose's "Antiquities of Ireland". Because Oben is known to have exhibited topographical view of ruins in County Kilkenny in the exhibition of the Society of Artists in Ireland in 1780, the most likely date for this drawing would be 1779 or 1780.
