Notes:An engraving of this drawing (with different people in the foreground) is found in Vol. II of Francis Grose's Antiquities of Ireland (London, 1791 (should be 1794)) as Pl. 3 under the wrong title of "Ballylaghan Castle, Co. Carlow", and wrongly attributed to Lieutenant Daniel Grose (Grose confused it with another castle of the same name in Co. Carlow).
