View of the interior of the Cathedral on St. Patrick's Rock, Cashel, County Tipperary, Ireland, taken from the western end of the Cathedral. View shows part of the nave arcade, the vaulted tower at the crossing and looks through to the east window, shown here with the tall lancets filled up and only bearing small windows inserted into the secondary masonry which blocks up the window.

The Reverend Joseph Turner copied a number of earlier antiquarian topographical drawings, some of which are preserved in the Royal Irish Academy. Vallancey was a surveyor general, and executed many drawings of antiquities.
