A Bright Day in Merrion Square
[graphic]
Summary: | Man dressed in top hat and coat, full length, left profile, standing with walking stick in right hand and glove in left hand. According to Patricia Butler, August 1997, this caricature (on stylistic grounds, subject matter and technique) is probably the work of members of the Brocas family, the most likely being Willaim Brocas, RHA (ca. 1794-1868). Possibly the Hon. Justice Robert Day, (1746-1841), resident of No. 5 Merrion Square and Loughlinstown, full-length, right profile, holding stick in right hand and glove in left hand |
