What a fascinating photograph. I know we say the Pphotographer of these Eason shots is unknown, but I would bet a good few Euro that white horse man knew exactly who was operating the camera here. If I am correct, this would be our first glimpse of Eason expeditionary forces in the field. I am also guessing that the circular construction at the rear of the house is to do with the manufacture of Lime.

Dookinelly, maybe? I don't think there's a Dunkinalla.

Looks like it's taken from a bit east of Keel: goo.gl/maps/WpsYx5Hw7tfvHHTb6
Edit - actually, it seems to be further back, goo.gl/maps/izRAsF8U9QY8ubs68

I think the photographer might have been Mr Valentine, and the year 1909 or shortly before. ...
There are three other 'Eason' photos of Keel -
catalogue.nli.ie/Record/vtls000558806 - with the white horse (called Whisky)
catalogue.nli.ie/Record/vtls000558809
catalogue.nli.ie/Record/vtls000558807 - 'Beehive House'
The same characters and grass on the right of the roof are seen in this Valentine postcard, no. 62912 of the Beehive House - library.mayo.ie/media/postcards/achill/webpages/detail.np...
which was 'registered' in 1909 - www.historiccoventry.co.uk/main/pc-dating.php?pc=62912
Or not?

Second thoughts: the Valentine postcard has more tufted grass and slightly different clothing than the Eblana Beehive House. Which might mean that the Eblanas are not by Valentine; and might be before 1909 ?

In June 1998 Health and Efficiency magazine listed "the eastern end of the beach at Doonikelly" as one of the three recommended nudist beaches in Connaught.
[Before you ask, it was quoted in the Irish Independent. I didn't find it by leafing through my collection of back issues of the august publication]

Not sure I'd recommend any nudist beaches in Connaught, tbh. You'd be either extremely shriveled or pert, depending, and quite blue whichever. And I say that as someone who spent a few years living in Kiel.
