| Summary: | Elizabeth Rivers was born in England in 1903 and studied art, especially wood engraving, at Goldsmith's College, London. She also studied under Andre Lhote and Gino Severini in Paris. She illustrated many books with her woodcuts or drawings. She also wrote and illustrated several books such as "Stranger in Aran", Dublin 1946, and "Out of Bondage" which is a factual account of her visit to Israel in 1951 |
