Summary: | View over countryside of Berkshire with a house on the banks of a river in the foreground. The village of Clewer is now mostly part of Windsor town and castle. The Brocas meadows may have a connection with the Manor of Clewer Brocas which once existed in the area. Sir Bernard Brocas, one of the owners o f the Manor founded the Brocas Chapel at Clewer Church in 1384. William Brocas's interest in this part of England may stem from the family connection with the Brocas of Berkshire |
