Title inscribed in ink m.c. on sheet: An Elevation of the cross in the Town of Kilkenny: its built of a hard and durabel [durable] Stone, I believe of Kilkenny Marble, the Town by their Charter granted them by [blank space] are obliged to keep it in repair. The above characters are on the side, and supposed to be 1300 the time it was erected tho' the two other strokes belonging to an M appear not to have been put with the other part, as the stone is sunk close to the characters in the above manner. Nov.r 1755 C.T.

Watermark is part of a large shield, crowned.
