Notes: | From: Antiquities of Abbeys, Castles & c. & c. in Ireland, Vol. II Image within ink frame 10.7 x 14.5 cm. Watermark u.l. on sheet is not visible enough to recognise In Austin Cooper's diary for 2nd May, 1812 (NLI Ms. Acc. 4841, opposite page 19), he says: "The Franciscan Abbey of which I took a drawing in 1792, with the exception of the steeple has since been pulled down, and a popish Chapel within these few years built on the Site, tho' not yet finished withinside". The date 1792 is wrong for this drawing (which is dated 1790), so either the date is mistaken or there was another drawing by Cooper of the same subject now lost Title inscribed in ink l.c. on sheet under image Physical description: 1 drawing image 10.5 x 14.3 cm., on sheet 18.2 x 26.7 cm.
