Summary: | View of a badly ruined tower-house at Lerrin, County Galway, Ireland. The door survives in one wall, as do two windows in each of the surviving walls. The tower is adjoined by a low stone wall, and is flanked on each side by a tree. |

Notes: | A William Ousley or Ouseley, who may be the artist W. Ousley of this drawing, is likely to have grown up in north-east Galway, and this may have been the product of a sketching-visit from home. From: Antiquities of Abbeys, Castles & c. & c. in Ireland, Vol. II Image within ink frame 8.4 x 11.8 cm.. Watermark u.l. on sheet is part of a large shield, crowned.
