Summary:Two separate so-called "Black Letter" inscriptions on the north wall of the choir of Knockmoy Cistercian abbey, County Galway, Ireland. According to the Crawford article, reference and page numbers stated on the facing page, the inscription "[u]nder the Skeletons. No: 2, page 79" (see also 2122 TX (1) 79) is read as "Fuimus ut estis vos eritis ut sumus nos". This is translated as "We were as you are, you will be as we are"
