View of the tower-house at Barberstown, County Kildare, Ireland at the end of a farmyard. A small thatched building leans against the tower-house. On either side of the farmyard are buildings. The view through the farmyard gates to the castle beyond is an attractive portrayal of rural life in eighteenth-century Ireland
