| Notes: | From: Antiquities of Abbeys, Castles & c. & c. in Ireland, Vol. I Title inscribed in ink l.c. on sheet under image Watermark u.l. on sheet forms part of a small shield Drawn by Austin Cooper perhaps when he was touring the country gathering money from area tax collectors, or a Paymaster to the Civil and Military Establishments. Cooper visited this church while on his way from Dublin to a tour of the province of Munster in May 1781. In his diary entry for May 15th-16th, 1781 (preserved in NLI Ms. Acc. 4841, Munster 1781, page 6, and quoted in Liam Price's book) Austin Cooper says that, in the town of Durrow, 'The Church is very plain' Physical description: 1 drawing image 8.4 x 13.1 cm., on sheet 18.1 x 26.5 cm.
