Drawn by Austin Cooper perhaps when he was touring the country gathering money from area tax collectors, or a Paymaster to the Civil and Military Establishments. This drawing could have been executed during what Austin Cooper described in his diary as "a journey to Munster & through it's several counties in 1781"
The figure of a lady lay beside the effigy of her husband, and in his diary for May 16th, 1781, preserved in NLI Ms. Acc. 4841. Munster 1781, page 4 and published in Liam Price's book, page 14, Austin Cooper record: 'By his side was the figure of his Wife, with an Inscription on the Cushion under her head. It is now broke in two & thrown about (see drawg). They are said to be Fitzpatrick's'
