Bibs, blouses, buckets babbies, bushes beset Broad Street in the sweet village of Adare! I love this charming photograph and the wealth of detail on display, the youngsters at the pump have shoes as does the patient wee one with the bonnet on her head and the bucket on her arm. In the meantime most of the others are barefoot and quite at eas with that. I love the hayrick off there in the front garden.

There's a Lawrence Photographic Project (1990-91) 'now' equivalent (megazoomable) - catalogue.nli.ie/Record/vtls000355064 . Oh dear!

This row of thatched cottages is gone, but there are still some standing in Adare: Streetview

Great choice Carol.

O Mac
the only continuity seems to be a pump house now standing where the hand pump once stood.

My family are from Adare and there are family members in this photo. Trying to find out who these children were.

[https://www.flickr.com/photos/191453636@N04] If we could identify them it would be fanstastic Fran, please do keep us informed. When we can identify the people in the images it really is the icing on the cake!
