Summary:C.W. Cole spent time in Ballinrobe, County Mayo. He was working as a special artist for the Graphic, reporting on the events relating to the Irish Land League in the west of Ireland in 1880. Captain Somerset Maxwell was the commander of the 76th Regiment which was one of the troops sent in to escort the 50 "Orange Labourers" to Boycott's estate at Lough Mask, County Mayo. Mr Manning was a Ulster land agent who volunteered to lead the Boycott Relief Expedition
