C.W. Cole spent time in Ballinrobe, County Mayo. He was working as a special artist for The Graphic, reporting on the events relating to the Irish Land League in the west of Ireland in 1880. This image shows labourers on their way to save Captain Boycott's crops being taunted by women standing on the road from Ballinrobe to Lough Mask, County Mayo
