Summary:Inscribed in pencil on verso: Louis Perrin (afterwards Judge Perrin) greets and embraces Robert Emmet as he descends from the dock after sentence. Interior of Green Street Courthouse, showing the young Louis Perrin approach and greet Robert Emmet after his speech, amidst the applause of others. For details on Perrin see Ball's, "The Judges in Ireland, 1221-1921," Page 275, Vol. II, "In his student days he went so far as to sympathize with Emmet, and did not hesitate to give proof of friendship at Emmet's Trial." Inscribed in pencil on verso: Mrs Orr, Brooklawn, Co. Dublin was a niece of Judge Perrin and probably made this drawing.
