Summary:	After a print of the same name by James Gillray, published on 12 March 1796 in London by Hannah Humphrey, New Bond Street. A fashionable crowd are seated playing the card game Pope-Joan. Amongst them is an elderly man, [thought to be William Sneyd, Rector of Elford, who was a friend of George Canning] and a young woman identified as "Godina" or Lady Georgina Gordon, who wears a dress with very revealing décolletage. A leering man, holding a candle snuffer, stands very close behind her chair in order to look down the front of her dress. The caricature is dominated by the huge feathers which decorate the ladies turbans and headresses.
