| Summary: | Promotional poster for a production of 'The Shaughraun' by Dion Boucicault to be performed in the Abbey Theatre from January 31 1967. Poster depicts two men fighting in a bar with a the barman cooly observing them. The words 'The Shaughraun' is printed in bold red font across the top of the poster. At top left corner of the poster is the image of Cú-chulainn with his hound and the text "Abbey Theatre from January 31st 1967." Printed at foot of poster is: "Design adapted from the poster used in the 1924 production at the Queens' Theatre Dublin". On verso, written in manuscript hand in blue ink is: "Seamus De Burca" |
