| Summary: | Election poster for Leopold Agar-Ellis, (1829-1899), barrister and Aide-de-Camp to the Lord-Lieutenant of Ireland, George William Frederick Howard, 7th Earl of Carlisle, (1802-1864) [his uncle] between 1855 and 1858 and 1859 and 1864. As a Liberal Party politician he served as M.P. for County Kilkenny from 1857 to 1874. In 1895 he became the 5th Viscount Clifden and fourth Baron Dover and entered the House of Lords. |
