This file comprises booklets relating to lectures and poetry readings by Seamus Heaney such as: ‘In Their Element: A Selection of Poems by Seamus Heaney and Derek Mahon’, 28 November 1976; 'Reflections on the Poetry of Wordsworth and Yeats', 'Kenneth Allott Lectures', 1978; Verses for a Fordham Commencement, 23 May 1982; ‘Among Schoolchildren’, A Joe Malone Memorial Lecture, 1983; and ‘Dylan the Durable? On Dylan Thomas’, Ben Belitt Lectureship Series 1992, numbered 297 of 1000. Invitations to Heaney lectures in collaboration with University College Cork, 'Guinness Writers' Lunch' and 'Poetry Ireland' are also enclosed, 1979-1995. Finally there is a permission request on behalf of Heaney to use Montague’s “A Bright Day” in a lecture at University College London, 1989.
