Correspondence of Charles Powell Leslie II regarding the Monaghan Militia and his role therein, dated 1807-1810. Letters are largely from Dublin Castle and concern topics such as expenses (including Charles' personal expenses), clothing requirements, raising more forces, militia duties, internal promotions, appointments and resignations, difficulties faced by the Militia and complaints raised against officers. Also contains: a copy of general orders, dated July 1807; an extract from the Voluntary Instructions, dated 1808; a copy of the names of men, with the dates of their attestations, who were enlisted in the Monaghan Militia, dated 1809-1810; plus related material.
