| Notes: | Previous Call Number 09-10. On first seeing a model of this sculpture in 1939, Helen Hooker O'Malley declared that she would commission a full-sized version. She did, but not until the early 1970s. The full-sized plaster version, seen here in Peter Grants's garage/studio, was cast in bronze in 1980. In 1992, it was erected in memory of Ernie O'Malley, on the Mall, Castlebar, near his birthplace.
